Donations

As with all organizations our biggest need is for financial support to pay the day-to-day running costs of the homes that we run. In 2010 we expect to be running six units, Shun Yi main foster home which includes Love Without Boundaries Heartbridge Step-up Step-down unit and a foster care program working with local families, and the existing special care units in Jiaozuo, Luoyang, Xinyang and Zhengzhou. The total capacity of all these units will be 250 beds. We will be employing about 350 local people. Our general running costs, covering all of the units will be approximately US$85,000 per month.

US donors

If you live in the US and wish to either donate items or receive more information about medical supplies for New Hope Foundation, please contact Rebecca Dorris. Rebecca has coordinated donated supplies in the US since 2001, shortly after meeting Joyce and Robin Hill when they were in the US for two orphans to have surgery there.

Rebecca can help you supply much-needed items bought by you in the US. Items may be shipped to Rebecca and she will get them to Beijing.

Regular material needs

Items not easily found in Beijing:

Double strollers (Kolcraft Tandem strollers or similar)

Medical items:

We are often asked what quantities we need. The answer to this question would be “whatever you can provide.” These are ongoing needs and the number of children we are care for are ever increasing.

Travelers needed

We are in need of travelers from the US and UK to Beijing to help bring in much needed supplies for our children. None of these supplies are “restricted items” and do not have to be declared at customs. The items will be mailed to you within the country. New Hope Foundation staff will be at the airport to pick up the supplies in Beijing.
