News – December 2011

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are mailing this Update early this month, to be able to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the year 2012 bring you peace and bountiful blessings!

This very special photo that we send to you with our love, blessings and gratitude, is worth a thousand words. The single tear in the baby's left eye represents the pain, fear, suffering and loneliness of all unloved children around the world. The gentle kiss of comfort by our dear friend David Trask says, "You are loved, you are precious to us and especially adored by your heavenly Father who once entered this world as a baby just like you on Christmas day. One day all your tears will be washed away."

Harith has had a gastrostomy that will aid in his feeding. He is home and doing well. The process of getting him to the US is moving along. We hope we can keep him well till he gets there where we hope that his defect will finally be sealed. Financial support is still coming in for him from so many different sources and it looks like we are going to need every penny to save this child. Donors for his cause are being updated regularly on his progress. Wylie went to Hangzhou for his heart surgery and is doing well. DH Tong with a cleft lip and heart defects, and DE Ling were admitted to Hua Xin heart hospital for heart surgery. ZJ Song and DH Di were admitted for cleft lip surgery. ZJ Song is home and looking very handsome. DZ Zhao has been admitted for cleft surgery. Zarek has returned from Shandong province after his liver surgery and is doing well so far.

Our Needs

We are in need of sponsors willing to fund the necessary courses of childhood vaccinations of our children in Beijing. A course, consisting of approximately 15 shots that will cover most of the common but potentially life threatening childhood diseases' like polio, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough etc, costs about $350 per child. A picture of the child you sponsor will be sent to you.

Our Most Sincere Thanks

  1. To all those who have generously supported us personally for Joyce's medical treatment in the US next month even though we have not even asked. We have put our trust totally in our faith and yet again everything has been provided for. This may be the chance we have been waiting for, for a long time. Thank you for your prayers as well.
  2. To the owner and staff of 360.com for a very generous donation of funds and goods.
  3. To the Tudor Foundation for their continued financial support.
  4. To Joanne, Joanna and their friends for funding part of one baby's heart surgery.
  5. To Chris and Sherri R. for their very generous donation to our ministry.
  6. To the German Christmas bazaar for their Christmas gift of financial support.
  7. To the 5th graders of the International School of Beijing for their very generous collection of a variety of supplies.
  8. To CFFC for their very generous donation.
