With the help of Show Hope we are working with the Chinese government’s Blue Sky Project to upgrade the Luoyang Children’s Welfare Institute’s facilities.
The opening of this new unit on 2nd July 2009 is the start of a new model for the care of orphans with physical disabilities.
The 5,820-square-metre Healing Home will care for more than 140 babies in 3 groups: palliative care; long-term chronic care; and operable babies. The new Home will also have a small operating theater with 10-15 recovery beds, dentist surgery and training area. This unit was paid for by Show Hope and the running costs are also covered by Show Hope.
